How to use trekking poles

.The most important principle of using trekking poles is to make the arms strong, change the walking on the legs to walking on all fours, increase the exercise of the upper body, and reduce the burden on the lower body.
.When using trekking poles on flat ground, you should keep your arms perpendicular to your shoulders, keep the poles on the same plane as your arms, and neither stretch out nor slant inward. Swing your arms back and forth, using the back thrust of your trekking poles to help you move forward.
.When the arm is exerting force from front to back, the handle should be held tightly; when the arm is swung from back to front, the fingers should be slightly relaxed to ventilate and sweat (see the above picture carefully).
.It is not necessary to shorten the trekking pole when going uphill. The same purpose can be achieved by removing the hand from the wrist strap and grasping the extension grip instead.
When going downhill, you don't necessarily need to extend the trekking pole, lean forward slightly, grab the top of the handle, and take small steps forward. In most cases, it is enough.
